Tasty Travels is all about places that we are willing to travel to for delicious bites.  Our passion for tasty travels is just not about the food  but also the great atmosphere. No matter how close or far, if you have a place we should try please let us know.

In a small town North of Murray, Kentucky, you will find Sikeston, Missouri where the original Lambert’s Cafe “Home of the Throw Rolls” resides sincce 1942.  That’s correct, if you want a roll, be prepared.  Just raise your hand and one will come flying straight to you from the waiter (most likely from across the room).

The waiter/waitress rolls the cart up and down the restaurant isles.  If your not paying attention, you might get smacked in the face if the catcher can’t catch so well.

Each table has there own butter and Lambert’s pure honey for your fixings.  Sorghum molasses is also available for your liking.

Each entree comes with two sides, and the average price is between $12-$16.  Please note, if your going to make a trip, bring cash or a local check; No credit cards what so ever.  On a good note, they do have an ATM machine.  Besides the generous portions you even get all you can eat “Norm Pass Around’s”.

“Norm Pass Around’s” consists of fried okra, fried potatoes and onions, black-eyed peas, apple butter, plus macaroni and tomatoes and the famous throw rolls.

All I have to say is Southern Cooking at their best.

If you don’t live on Sikeston, you can visit the other two locations in Ozark, Missouri and Foley, Alabama.
