Let me ask you 3 things.  1) Do you like the customizable options of Subway and Chipotle?  2) Do you like Pizza? 3) Do you like the quality of your food to be of a much higher quality than Subway or Chipotle (but at the same price)?  Than you will LOVE PizzaRev!!  So technically I didn’t have to travel very far to get there, but I knew the second I bit in to my topping-covered personalized pizza I had to write about it.  In that moment, I became an instant fan, I was in Pizza Paradise!  PizzaRev recently opened up just off my college campus in Northridge, California over the summer, but I had been reluctant to try it due to the huge line going out the door every lunch hour.  I knew I had to though, had to find out what that line was all about.  I’m sure glad I did.

Let me tell you how PizzaRev works.  It’s actually quite simple.  First, they start with a generous portion of homemade dough.  Next, you have the choice of 4 sauces: red sauce, olive oil, Alfredo sauce, and BBQ sauce (or why not go half-and-half!).  Third, choose from 5 different types of cheeses: mozzarella, reduced-fat mozzarella, feta, bleu, or ricotta.  Next, choose from over 30 UNLIMITED toppings.  Finally, they place that customized pizza in to a revolutionary Fire-Deck oven that cooks it perfectly even in less than 3 minutes!  But wait, let’s rewind a second and let me tell you about the plethora of UNLIMITED toppings that you have to choose from.  Here are your 11 protein choices (have as many as you want): pepperoni, spicy pepperoni, beef pepperoni, Italian sausage, sweet fennel sausage, spicy chorizo, crumbled beef meatball, canadian bacon, crispy bacon, grilled chicken, and anchovies.  And here are your veggie options: mushrooms, red onions, green bell peppers, tomatoes, pineapple, black olives, kalamata olives, basil, spinach, garlic, pepperoncinis, jalapeños, fennel seed, arugula, capers, artichoke hearts, and sun-dried tomatoes!!

You might be thinking, “Oh lord, how will I ever decide!?”  Well, they also have several pre-designed pizza options to choose from too.  This isn’t some tiny movie theater personal pan pizza crap either, this is a significant serving of pizza.  Like, you could very easily have leftovers to enjoy when you get home…although it’s hard to stop eating once you get that first bite of your personal pizza heaven.  The Roman-style thin and crispy crust gives the perfect outside crunch with inside softness.  The ingredients and toppings are all incredibly fresh and robust.  It just looks so enticing while you watch them craft your very own artisan pizza, which helps to build that anticipation of the first savory bite!  Now how much does it cost?  That is your last question, right?  It costs a mere $7.45.  Yes, only $7.45 to have your hefty, delicious, fresh, personalized, artisan pizza crafted before your eyes!  Every  single pizza (except plain cheese which is cheaper), no matter how many UNLIMITED toppings you get, is only $7.45!!  God bless the person who came up with this idea.  Oh yeah, you can also have them craft a personalized salad from their many toppings as well.

My 1st PizzaRev Pizza: Spicy Pepperoni, Italian Sausage, Crumbled Meatball, Ham, Jalapeños, Spinach, Pepperoncinis, and Pineapple!

Needless to say, I am very happy I finally decided to wait in line.  Totes worth it!  You won me over PizzaRev, well played.  My only complaint is that I have to graduate in May and will no longer be able to walk 3 minutes off campus to gorge myself on your magnificent cheesy, saucy, meaty, vegetable-y creations.  PizzaRev’s second location opened in Studio City in September and a third location will soon be opening in Woodland Hills.  If you ever find yourself in California’s San Fernando Valley, do yourself a favor and stop by PizzaRev!  I look forward to the company expanding in to other regions of California and THE WORLD!  Viva la PizzaRev, utopian pie future!  Now, who do I talk to to get figs, prosciutto, and caramelized onions on the menu??
