It’s football time! Whether you prefer College Gameday or the NFL one thing is the same across the board. Everyone loves tailgating.  Nothing screams fall like spending an afternoon in a parking lot listening to loud music and cheering for your favorite team. With the grill pouring out a delicious smoke and the cooler reaching the perfect temperature does anyone care about the game?

..spoken like a true girl, I know!

Here is my top 5 tailgate must haves:

5.) Fruit: This may seem strange but my thought behind this is simple: There are two kinds of fruit in this world: the healthy all natural kind and the alcoholic kind.  People may initially make fun of the person who brings fruit to a tailgate but at the end of the night, it’ll all be gone. However, if you feel like toting fresh cut strawberries to a sporting event causes you to forfeit your “man card” you have another option, alcoholic fruit.  Cut your fruit the night before pour a bottle of vodka on it and let it sit over night. BOOM! Manly.

4.) Protein: Chicken wings, Kabobs, Hot Dogs. All Classic’s no explanation needed.

3.) Sides: Get creative! Buffalo chicken dip, chips and salsa, rotel dip, chili! I could write a whole article about outstanding tailgate sides!

2.) Beer. Duh!

1.) Water: Sometimes tailgating gets a little out of hand. Always be prepared and responsible.
